My Own Definition of Media Classifications
Print Media
It is a type of media that is printed on a paper, or any
flat and smooth surfaces. This type of media requires reading skills from the
reader to be able to understand information.
Broadcast Media
It is a type of media that is in a form of visual and audio.
This requires visual reading and audio hearing skills from the reader to be
able to understand information.
New Media
It is a type of media where
information is digitized. This requires reading and hearing skills from the
reader, as well as appropriate technology to be able to receive and understand
information.

In this age of information, men
made new discoveries and great progress in communication, which led to the
convergence of traditional and new media. Different components and attributes
from the traditional and new media are associated and merged in order to
improve the flow of information.
Explain how media
convergence creates new opportunities for interaction.
Media convergence gives the people
opportunities to develop new skills and use these skills for a better
interaction. Moreover, media convergence provides faster communication compared
with the traditional media alone.
Describe the use of
one or two forms of new media to share knowledge and information on a current
issue.
One form of new media that provides
information on a current issue of the country is Facebook. Facebook is not only
a good tool for giving information on a current issue of Mocha Uson being a
senator candidate for the next election, but a great way to comment on such
issue and enhance one’s critical reading skills to determine which pieces of
information are right and wrong.
Explain how a person
could be portrayed in public in the age of media convergence.
Displaying a person’s image in
public is a task that could be accomplished by anybody which means that a
person could be easily portrayed in public which can also be influenced by the
comments of everybody. Keeping a person’s image private in the age of media
convergence is difficult especially if he or she is not given proper education
for being responsible and accountable for giving and receiving information.
