Introduction to Media and Information Literacy (Lab) (1)

Misconceptions about Information Literacy

Information literacy is not only the ability to decode and understand information, but also to evaluate and effectively communicate information in its formats. Moreover, information should be understood and shared with facts and good ideas.

Media and Information Design Framework

Target Audience

The intended audience is students of Manila Science High School. The audience may also include volunteers outside the school.

Sender/Author

The producer is me with the help of other student journalists.

Purpose

The purpose is to encourage students and others to attend Brigada Eskwela this year.

Key Content

The topic is Brigada Eskwela. The facts include the dates of the event, and the names of the people who will lead the event.

Form/Style

I will present this information through writing an article of the different simple and creative ways to help clean and prepare the school for another year. In this way, students may be encouraged to participate at the event.

Medium/Format

The platforms that I will use are Facebook and Twitter because a lot of MaScians are active in these platforms. Additionally, Facebook and Twitter make easier to spread information because of the share button and retweet button.
